Transitions > Year 6/7Year 6/7Due to its geographical position Yarragon Primary School is a feeder school to two state secondary colleges and two private secondary colleges and hence has a transition program with all four schools.
As we are in the Warragul Cluster, Yarragon has close contact with Warragul Regional College and our senior children will visit the college for tours, performances, special learning sessions and orientation days. We find that this is helpful for all students not just those going to Warragul. Trafalgar High School also runs orientation sessions and sends students and teachers to Yarragon to help with the transition process. Both private schools will send information and run orientation sessions too. All the schools run information sessions and tours of the school for prospective parents. This usually takes place in May and June each year. Most of the schools also have testing procedures for offering scholarships. Warragul Regional College and Trafalgar High School also have accelerated streams for students. Please contact the schools for more information. |
